Rule Specifications

Class Specifications: Every class offered herein shall be run by the rules and regulations of the current VHSA Rule Book and will be conducted and judged accordingly. The judge's decision is always final. The management reserves the right to split, combine or cancel any class due to entry size.

Coggins Test: All exhibitors must present a Negative Coggins test, taken within one year on each animal exhibited

Schooling will be permitted only in designated schooling areas. Schooling available from 7:45am to 8:45am prior to the show and as time permits in the schedule.

Attire: All exhibitors must wear protective headgear at all times while mounted on the show grounds. Junior exhibitors must wear ASTM/SEI protective helmets with harnesses fastened at all times. Boots and breeches/jodphurs requested. Winter jackets and half chaps allowed.

Unjudged Rounds: Will be allowed at the end of the classes as time permits at the discretion of the management, or as breaks occur, at regular entry fee.

Awards: Six ribbons per class. Champion Ribbon and Reserve Champion Ribbon in each division. Points scored 6,4,3,2,1 for Champion and Reserve of the division for Oak Hill series prizes.

Release of Liability: Oak Hill Thoroughbreds L.L.C. and Samantha E. Piggot, their officials, employees or volunteers will not be responsible for any accident or loss which may occur to any exhibitor, spectator, rider, guest, groom, attendant or other employee, animal or equipment at the show. Any equine activity, sponsor or equine professional is not liable for any injury to, or death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risk of equine activities. All exhibitors must sign a release form and a legal guardian must sign a release for for all junior exhibitors.

Short/Long Stirrup: Exhibitors in their 1st or 2nd year of showing.

Dogs must be leashed at all times!

Entry Fees: $12 per class on the day of the show. $2 discount if you call or email in advance with name, number of horses and divisions.
